Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI, the popular online multiplayer battle royale game, has just launched its 2.0 update. The BGMI 2.0 update comes after two months and is a major update for the game. The new update will also mark the collaboration of BGMI publisher Krafton with popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Players can prepare for an exciting gaming experience with new features and gameplay improvement. The update adds a new core circle mode, official Livik map, emergency pickups and more. BGMI 2.0 update release time
The BGMI 2.0 update will be rolled out today, May 13. The update is rolled out in batches and different regions will receive it at different times of the day. While there has not been much consistency in terms of timing of release for India, the previous update was rolled out in India at 5:30 PM.
BGMI 2.0 update new features
The BGMI 2.0 update comes with an array of new features as well as improvements on existing features. Apart from all the features, the month will also gear up towards Battlegrounds Mobile India’s first anniversary in May. Let us take a look at all the new features of this update.
Core Circle Mode
This new mode has been inspired by the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion and brings new skin, rewards, and milestone-based bonuses for all gamers. This new mode can be experienced in both Erangel and Livik maps. Players can access this themed mode through the in-game discovery events and can get additional bonuses for participation after May 14th.
Official Livik map
Livik map is now officially available to play and have thrilling matches in. The new map comes equipped with an all-terrain UTV, ziplines, a brand-new soccer pitch where players can score goals too and more. The map will also offer the new XT variant of weapons for all players, making gameplay more exciting than ever. Also, the map will have advanced supply zones with special weapons in them.
Changes in BGMI Classic mode
The classic modes will see the new emergency pickup feature that will pick the player outside the zone and drop them in the middle of the play-zone. There is also a revival tower that will allow players to revive their eliminated teammates. The haptic controls are also being enhanced with this update. Apart from a like button has been added to the spectator mode and a new lobby for the first-anniversary of BGMI has also been created where players can get in-game items and buy skins on sale.
