A few weeks ago, band Blackpink’s Lisa recorded her first solo hit on charts around the world with her own debut release, the semi-self-titled “Lalisa.” The track opened at number 42 on the Canadian Hot 100, making its debut victory in many Western countries, including Canada. After enjoying its success, in just a few frames, Lisa returned to the list on the B side of her first win. A hip-hop cut titled “Money”. The song arrived at number 95 in the last frame and is now filmed up to number 59.
Recorded a second hit on the Canadian Hot 100 BillboardLisa, the country’s most popular song ranking, has made history in several ways. Here’s how to do it:
Second solo female K-POP musician with multiple hits
With the debut of Money, Lisa immediately doubled the number of solo female K-pop musicians by placing multiple placements on the Canadian Hot 100, increasing the total from one to two. The only other artist to fit that description of managing multiple hits in weekly tally was her Blackpink band, who pushed both her first solo releases, “On the Ground” and “Gone,” to the list earlier this year. My name is Mate Rosé.
Third solo K-POP musician with multiple hits
As the club expands to include all solo K-pop artists, both male and female, the number of acts that have sent at least two songs to the Canadian Hot 100 will increase again. In addition to both Lisa and Rose, fellow musician Sai has also appeared several times in the rankings. The pioneering Korean superstar landed in Tally with three cuts, “Gangnam Style,” “Gentleman,” and “Daddy,” and CL all spent time on the roster.
Tie for the second most hit among K-POP solo musicians
With only two hot 100 hits in Canada, Lisa is already tied to Rose and is the second most popular K-POP solo star. By increasing her career total from 1 to 2, the rapper and singer are well-known for their work with BTS, J-Hope and Suga (working under the name Agust D), and fellow Blackpink musicians. Get out of your relationship with Jennie. And CL, everyone reached the tally only once. Lisa and Rose come in behind Sai alone, and with just one hit.
Leading to the fourth most hit among K-POP musicians
Including all the musicals known primarily for K-pop production, Lisa fell to fourth place, not just her. Rosé and Itzy are associated with Blackpink singers. This week, Twice will join the club. Their new single, The Feels, made its debut on the 56th list, but last week the band made only one appearance on the Canadian Hot 100. There are two placements in front of each of these names. 32 chart songs BTS, 11 Blackpink, 3 smash Psy.
