BTS’s lead vocalist Jungkook has tested positive for Covid-19. The singer tested positive on Sunday, right after landing in the US. The group is scheduled to perform at the 2022 Grammys in Las Vegas on April 3, followed by “Permission to Dance on Stage” concerts.
Big Hit Music confirmed the news in a statement, “Jung Kook tested negative for a PCR test in Korea and departed for the United States on Sunday March 27 (KST) in preparation for the Grammy Awards performance. After arriving in Las Vegas, he felt a slight discomfort in his throat and immediately had a rapid PCR test (COVID-19 molecular PCR test) and a standard PCR test (COVID-19 quantitative PCR test) on Sunday afternoon. March 27th. (PT). While he was self-quarantining as a proactive measure, both tests came back positive and Jung Kook was confirmed with COVID-19 on Monday, March 28 (PT).”
The statement added that the singer is currently undergoing quarantine and treatment and his activities will depend on local Covid-19 regulations.
Jungkook took to Instagram to reassure fans that he is recovering well.
