On Thursday, the family of six people found dead in their Allen home will be laid to rest.
On Wednesday night, more than 100 people gathered at Allen’s Celebration Park in a candlelight vigil for the Towen family.
Some were overwhelmed with mourning.
Police say 19-year-old Farhan Touheed and 21-year-old Tanveer Touheed committed suicide after shooting four family members.
Police found their bodies early in the morning on Monday when a friend requested a welfare check at home about a suicidal person.
Farhan’s twin sister Farbin, his father Tauhidul Islam, mother Irene Islam and grandmother Altafun Nessa also died.
Friends say Farhan Touhid dealt with depression and posted a long suicide note on Instagram before the murders.
“His depression was not a product of his environment. He was not genetically lucky like the rest of us. Funeral services for the family will be held at the Allen Mosque on Thursday afternoon, followed by burial in Denton.
