Reshab pants were visibly emotional after Delhi Capitals suffered a tragic defeat to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the second qualifying of the Indian Premier League on Wednesday. The Delhi Capitals bowler hunted down the team with regular strikes towards the end of the KKR chase after scoring only 135/5. KKR lost 6 wickets in 7 runs with just over 3 overs as the match progressed to the final 6 broadcasts. Rahul Tripathi hit Ravichandran Ashwin 6 off in the penultimate delivery of the match to win the KKR match. After the match, disappointed Delhi Capitals skipper Reshab Pants said his team never stopped believing and tried to stay in the contest for as long as possible.
“Nothing changes after the match. I always believed and stayed in the match for as long as possible. The bowlers pulled it back. They bowled really well in the middle over. We were stuck and could spin. There was no strike. “
Pants added that they want to be stronger, improve and change their destiny next season.
“I wish I could go back to the net year for a stronger season. I played really good cricket throughout the season. We stuck together and cared for each other. Next year will be better and stronger I hope to come back, “Pants concludes.
In the match, Delhi Capitals managed only 5 vs. 135 with the assigned 20 overs after being put into the bat by Eoin Morgan.
In response, despite the dramatic hiccups, KKR managed to get over the line and seal the place in the IPL2021 final.
The two champions will face MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in the T20 League final in Dubai on Friday.
