Calculation of family allowances

  • Children under 6 years old will receive an amount of $7,437 per year. The monthly payment for this amount will be $619.05.
  • The child between the age limit of 7 and 18 years old will receive the amount of $6,275 (on an annual basis). The monthly payment for this amount will be $525.75. This credit begins to decrease if family income is above $35,000.
  • Families with only one child will benefit from the 7% reduction in adjusted family net income.
  • The family with two children will receive a 13% reduction, and the family with four or more children will receive a 23% reduction.

Benefits for disabled children

The disabled child will receive an additional monthly benefit of $3,173 each year. CDB begins to decline as AFNI increases over $75,000. Families with only one disabled child will benefit from a 5% reduction in AFNI and 2.5% for families with more than one disabled child.
