COVID-19 RT-PCR testing capability will increase, house-to-house survey begins amid spike in coronavirus instances


The Ministry of House Affairs (MHA) on Saturday mentioned that it could enhance COVID-19 RT-PCR testing capability, and house-to-house survey has begun in Delhi amidst a spike in COVID-19 instances.

“ICMR has elevated RT-PCR testing capability from 27,000 checks/day to 37,200 RT-PCR checks per day on instructions of HM @AmitShah. 30,735 RT-PCR samples collected in Delhi on 19 Nov as in comparison with 12,055 RT-PCR samples on 15 Nov,” Spokesperson, Ministry of House Affairs tweeted.

“Govt of NCT Delhi has began home to accommodate survey,” it added.

Furthermore, the ICU beds in Delhi have elevated by 205 in central authorities hospitals, Delhi authorities hospitals & non-public hospitals following a gathering held by House Minister Amit Shah.
