Ethos Broking continues to wave in the region, rapidly growing its 14th hub in the form of Leeds-based Schofield Insurance Brokers.
This move, described as a “tactical purchase,” gave Etos a new growth platform in West Yorkshire. Schofield has been in business for nearly 50 years, focusing on commercial lines with personal services and processing over £ 10m of GWP.
The company is headed by Managing Director Gary Holland and Director Tom Butler, with a team of 30 joining Etos and maintaining its office.
“As a founding member of the broker network, we have a close relationship with Etos Broking and have seen our business grow as it does today,” said the Netherlands. “Cultural suitability is perfect for us, and when we decide that it’s the right time for the next stage of our journey, both Tom and I are determined to work only with people we can trust. The Ethos brand provides the support we need to take it to the next level. We look forward to unleashing all the opportunities this move brings. “
The move is the latest in a series of acquisitions of Etos Broking, which acquired Hampshire’s Headley Group and Piccadilly-based Chambers and Newman earlier this year.
“Schofield is a business we have long admired and we are very pleased to welcome them to our families today,” said Richard Tuplin, CEO of Ethos Broking. “Gary and Tom’s understanding of how powerful customer service is is in perfect agreement with the culture of ethos. When combined with the way they support people, they tell ethos this. Not suitable for this. No doubt, great things will happen. “
