Great Britain has secured a spot in the Davis Cup Final 8 in Malaga by finishing first in Group B. They had an impressive week, defeating Australia and Switzerland, and sealing their place with a 2-1 win over France at the AO Arena in Manchester.
The Lexus Great Britain Davis Cup team, along with Australia, will advance to the Davis Cup Final 8 in Malaga in November, aiming to become the Davis Cup champions. Other strong teams from different groups, such as Serbia, Finland, Canada, Italy, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands, will also compete.

Dan Evans played a crucial role in their victories, securing a comeback win against Arthur Fils, beating world No. 13 Alex de Minaur, and partnering with Neal Skupski to win the doubles rubber against Switzerland.
Cam Norrie, the British No. 1, had a tough match but couldn’t secure a win against Ugo Humbert, leading to a tie at 1-1.
In the deciding doubles rubber against Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin, Evans and Skupski fought a thrilling battle, eventually winning in a third-set tie-break, delighting the home crowd.
Great Britain will now compete for the 2023 Davis Cup title in Malaga from November 21-26. They will face either Italy or Serbia, depending on the draw.
