AMC first release Fear the Walking Dead The other day, put up a poster with a new trailer showing how ridiculous this zombie drama is.
In a sense, posters tell us more about the new season than trailers. The trailer flaunted the shining Texas, and fallout from nuclear missiles turned the world orange.
Orange is also the color of the poster:
If nothing else, this poster suggests that at least the Season 7 conflict, or at least its beginnings, will not involve a new group of enemies. Rather, Strand and Morgan are set as antagonists. At the very stupid Season 6 finale, Strand tried to throw Morgan into a zombie (there’s literally no reason). Later, he told a man he met in the building that he was Morgan Jones.
We still don’t know how this will work in Season 7. Probably the most ridiculous way you can imagine, but maybe I’m just sick of it. If you think about it, the Strand vs. Morgan conflict is not a bad idea at all. They are the exact opposite in almost every respect. Strand is a selfish villain at his core. Morgan is a sacred good deed. They must collide, so why not raise it further?
As my headline suggests, if this works, I definitely want Strand to destroy Morgan and everyone in Team Morgan. I want Alicia to join him. Because she gets sick when she does his nonsense (though she wouldn’t, of course). Daniel, well, I just want Daniel to burn his gun out. They polluted him.
Of course, I can’t get what I want Fear the Walking Dead. Morgan and Strand are more likely to create competing PSA videos and place them in fallout shelters throughout the continent of Texas.
You know what it is.
