Hershall Patel claimed a hat-trick as Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians with 54 runs in Match 37 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season at Dubai International Stadium on Saturday. Following the goal of 166 runs, MI got off to a good start, but struggled to build a partnership after losing the opening round Quinton de Cock and Rohit Sharma. Hershall Patel then put four wickets in a bag to close MI’s chances and seal a comprehensive victory on his part. He also solidified his position in the purple cap race and recorded 23 wickets. Earlier that day, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders.
IPL2021 point table
CSK has scored 16 points in 10 games and is in the top spot in the rankings. Delhi Capitals (DC) came in second, scoring 16 points in 10 games, but behind the net run rate.
RCB came in third with 12 points, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with 8 points.
PBKS is in 5th place with 8 points, followed by Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in 6th and 7th place, respectively, with 8 points.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is at the bottom of the table at two points.

Shikhar Dhawan is currently in pole position in the Orange Cap race, scoring 430 runs in 10 games. This is followed by PBKS captain KL Rahul (401).

RCB’s Hershall Patel extended his lead at the top of the purple cap race with 23 dismissals following a hat-trick against MI. DC’s Abesh Khan (15) is second, and RR’s Chris Morris (14) is third.
MI Jasprit Bumrah is fourth in 14 wickets, followed by Arshdeep Singh (13).
