Kennen without potable water without problems caused by Winter Storm – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

City of Johnson County, Kenne, has been without drinking water since Friday due to problems caused by last week’s winter storm.

According to city officials, the city’s water supply was limited due to a myriad of meteorological issues. There were problems with the pumps contributing to the cause of the widespread power outage.

“Without that , pumps could not pump water and a of pipes and pumps and valves would freeze during that time,” said Ken Warner Emergency Management Coordinator Dan Warner.

Warner said the water supply should be fully restored by Tuesday afternoon and it is to drink by the end of the week.

“It has been a real challenge for us, but the love I have from my students is flexible and service-oriented,” said Dr. President of Southwestern Adventist University in Kennen. Ken Shaw said.

Shaw said about 300 campus students have taken the outage at Stride, helping residents distribute bottled water.
