Seven other cryptocurrencies experienced declines on Thursday. Uniswap saw a decrease of 1.75% to reach $4.72, while Ripple’s value dropped by 1.67% to 52 cents.
Dogecoin, the popular meme-inspired coin, also fell by 1.67% to 6 cents, and Ethereum, a well-known digital currency, saw a decline of 1.18% to settle at $1,664.47. Polkadot, another cryptocurrency, experienced a decrease of 1.01% to reach $4.45.
Bitcoin, the most prominent cryptocurrency, and Cardano, a blockchain platform, both recorded decreases on Thursday, dropping 0.93% to $26,343.10 and 0.70% to 27 cents, respectively.
Conversely, Solana was the only cryptocurrency among the major ones to see an increase, rising by 0.09% to reach $21.60.
In terms of crypto-related company news, shares of Coinbase Global Inc., a popular cryptocurrency exchange, went down by 1.97% to $76.25. MicroStrategy Inc., a business analytics company with a focus on cryptocurrency investments, saw a slight decrease of 0.67% to $344.07. Riot Platforms Inc. experienced a larger drop, with shares falling by 3.10% to $10.78, and shares of Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. fell by 4.98% to $11.17.

Other companies also experienced fluctuations: Overstock.com Inc. dropped by 1.24% to $23.92, while Block Inc. saw a minor decrease of 0.05% to $57.19. Tesla Inc. shares declined by 1.38% to $233.58.
PayPal Holdings Inc. witnessed a slight increase of 0.08%, reaching $61.81, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. saw a more notable climb of 0.66% to $8.06. NVIDIA Corp., a leading technology company, experienced a rise of 2.76% to reach $484.15. However, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. faced a decline of 2.91%, settling at $106.25.
In the realm of funds focused on the cryptocurrency sector, the Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF, which concentrates on blockchain technology, decreased by 1.25% to $21.26. The Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETF, centered on companies solely involved in cryptocurrencies, saw a decline of 2.07% to $7.34. The Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, which tracks the market price of Bitcoin, also faced a decrease of 1.70%, reaching $17.88.
