Mandy Moore shared that her son is experiencing a health issue. Last Friday (July 28), the singer posted a photo on her Instagram Stories showing her two-year-old son Gus with a red rash on his body. She mentioned that they were unsure about the cause, considering possibilities like eczema, poison oak, or an allergy.
They took him to different doctors, including urgent care, pediatricians, and dermatologists, to find out what was going on and to relieve his itching. Despite the discomfort, Gus remained cheerful and strong throughout the day.

Mandy Moore continued by explaining that her son’s condition is called Gianotti-Crosti syndrome, a rare childhood skin condition. It causes a rash with blisters on the legs, buttocks, and arms. In Gus’ case, it appeared without accompanying a cold. The treatment involves using a steroid cream and giving him Benadryl at night. The condition may last for about 6-8 weeks.
Mandy expressed how parenting can be challenging and sometimes leaves you feeling helpless. However, she is grateful that it’s just an itchy skin condition, and her son’s resilience makes everything okay.
Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith have two sons together. August “Gus” Harrison was born on February 20, 2021, and their youngest, Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett Goldsmith, was born in October 2022.
