American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus’ plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Tuesday night after it “was struck by lightning.”
According to Fox News, Miley was traveling to Paraguay to headline day 2 of the Asuncionico festival. The aircraft was diverted to a safe location.
On her Twitter account, the singer wrote: “To my fans and everyone who worried after hearing about my flight to Asuncion. Our plane got caught in a big unexpected storm and lightning struck.”
“My crew, band, friends and family that were traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. Unfortunately, we were unable to fly to Paraguay. I LOVE YOU,” Cyrus added with a red broken heart emoji.

Along with the tweet, Miley also shared a video showing the terrifying situation from her plane seat. Filming the view outside her plane window, the black sky suddenly lights up with lightning. Passengers can be heard letting out huge gasps.
