Rahul Dravid is one of the most underrated gems of Indian cricket who silently came forward and did the job for the team whenever the situation demanded. He played many roles during his illustrious career, batting at various positions, keeping wickets, and also leading the side. Dravid is currently serving as India’s head coach.
Apart from his cool and calm demeanor, Dravid has also been a gentleman both on and off the field. Lately, this was proven again during a function that saw the Karnataka legend in attendance. It so happened that Dravid went to attend former Indian batter Gundappa Vishwanath’s book event in Bengaluru.
His pictures were clicked during the event and they went viral on social media in no time. Nonetheless, what really impressed one and all was the simplicity level with which Dravid greeted and interacted with eminent historian Ramchandra Guha and the fact that he sat at the back row despite being one of the chief guests for the function.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid is currently enjoying a well-deserved break from the national duties with the ongoing IPL 2022 that concludes on May 29. After the end of the IPL, all the participating Indian players will be back in blue jerseys with India set to host South Africa in a T20I series starting June 9.
Dravid took over the reins from Ravi Shastri after the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and while India did lose the away Test and ODI series to South Africa in December-January, they are undefeated across formats at home. Under Dravid’s guidance, the Indian team is expected to do well in the Asia Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup later this year.
