Ramiz Raja, the new chairman of the PCB, commented on Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam, saying it was “too early” to assess his overall potential. Talking further about the conversation with Pakistan’s skipper, Raja told Azam that his goal of playing cricket would have failed if there were no 400 sign hunters outside the academy. He revealed to a young cricketer that he expected him to have the same captain class he had in his time. Raja played under World Cup winner Imran Khan (now the Prime Minister of Pakistan).
“I had several sessions with him and told him that if there weren’t 400 sign hunters outside the academy, the whole goal of cricketing would have failed.
“I want the leadership I played in my time. My expectations for Babal are the same as Imran Khan,” Raja added.
