Jader O’Brien scored two goals to help FC Dallas draw New York City FC 3-3 on Tuesday night.
Dallas (6-10-9) lost only one of the last six away matches. It’s a three-time draw. New York City (10-8-5) recorded seven consecutive home wins. The seven-game run was a club record.
Dallas’ only lead came in four minutes when Obrian took advantage of a defensive mistake and easily sent him behind the net from close range.
Dallas tied it at 2 on the 63rd when Jesus Ferreira passed Ricardo Pepi’s through-ball defense and dived goalkeeper Shawn Johnson the wrong way.
Obrian tied it in 3 by sending a shot from the corner of the box 6 yards from Johnson’s hand.
In New York, Maximiliano Moralez drew 1 in 20 minutes by sending Jesús Medina’s back heel pass home. On the 57th, Medina led the rebound of Morales’s shot 2-1 and Talles Magno scored his first MLS goal on the 68th.
