Oscars 2023: The 2022 Oscars marked a significant milestone. CODA, a life-affirming film released by Apple TV+, won Best Picture, making it the first streaming service film to achieve this feat. Troy Kotsur, the film’s spirited star, became the first deaf man to win an acting Oscar, and Ariana DeBose from West Side Story, became the first openly queer woman of color to receive the Best Supporting Actress award. In addition, Will Smith’s involvement in a jaw-dropping viral moment before winning Best Actor made it an unforgettable event.
