A truck driver, who said police attacked and injured a five-year-old boy in Arlington last month, crouched on Thursday.
The man stepped into the South Substation of Arlington police and confirmed that he was the truck driver the police were looking for, police said.
Arlington police said the man had seen reports of the clash on television and said he wanted to talk to investigators.
As of Saturday, police said the man had not been charged with a crime and was cooperating.
According to Arlington police, a five-year-old boy was attacked by a pickup truck while riding a scooter on September 23.
