USA’s Tara Norris shone in the Women’s Premier League by taking five wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore and helping Delhi Capitals win their second game of the tournament. Delhi Capitals won the game by 60 runs, with captain Meg Lanning and opener Shafali Verma putting on a strong batting display. Norris claimed figures of 5/29 in four overs, contributing to RCB’s struggles in the run chase.

Earlier, the opening partnership of Lanning and Verma, along with Marizanne Kapp and Jemimah Rodrigues, helped Delhi Capitals set a massive target of 224 for RCB. While RCB struggled initially in their innings, Ellyse Perry’s quick 31 off 19 deliveries kept them in the game. However, Norris’s crucial wickets of Disha Kasat, Richa Ghosh, and Kanika Ahuja left RCB reeling.
Despite the efforts of Heather Knight and Megan Schutt, RCB could only manage 163/8 in their 20 overs. While it was a disappointing start for RCB, Delhi Capitals’ dominant display in both batting and bowling showed their potential in the tournament.
