Renowned actor and esteemed mimicry artiste, Kollam Sudhi (39), met an unfortunate demise in a tragic road accident when the vehicle he was traveling in collided head-on with a goods carrier. Additionally, three other prominent mimicry artists, namely Binu Adimali, Ullas, and Mahesh, sustained injuries in the incident. The calamity unfolded at Kaipamangalam in Thrissur during the early hours of Monday, around 4:30 am. According to reports from Manorama News, the quartet was returning home after a program held in Vatakara.
Authorities from the local police, sharing details with PTI, revealed that all four individuals involved in the collision were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. However, despite efforts to save him, Sudhi succumbed to his injuries, particularly a severe head injury, at a private hospital in Kodungallur. The remaining injured individuals are currently receiving medical care at the same facility.

Kollam Sudhi made his noteworthy cinematic debut in 2015 with the film ‘Kanthari,’ directed by Ajmal. He garnered recognition through his notable performances in various movies such as ‘Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan,’ ‘Kuttanadan Marppappa,’ ‘Kesu Ee Veedinte Nadhan,’ ‘Escape,’ and ‘Swargathile Katturumbu.’ Prior to his film career, Sudhi had attained popularity through his stage shows and comedic appearances on numerous television channels.
Expressing his condolences, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan mourned the untimely demise of Kollam Sudhi.
