Police are searching for gunmen who have set fire to the same South Arlington home at least four times in the past few weeks.
Homeowner Mohammad Sabini said, “We haven’t had any sleep in about two weeks.”
He said that Sabini has lived with her wife and 85-year-old mother in the house on Madina Drive for almost 12 years and never had any problem before that.
The first shoot was on March 19, a week after that, then two days after that.
A newly installed camera captured the latest attack on Monday night.
Video pictures show two people walking towards the house, setting fire, and running away.
“It makes you angry and terrifies you,” Sbini said.
Sabini is a Muslim but says she has no clue why someone is targeting her.
He said, “I have no idea. We have been living here for almost 12 years and we have never had such incidents with us.”
Police said such repeated firing is highly unusual and investigations are receiving high priority.
“We are very confident that we are going to be able to determine who has done this.”
For now, the Sbini family is sleeping in the back of their house – feeling lucky that no one has been hurt yet, fearing more bullets.
“Actually right now when it gets closer to 10:00 or 10:30, we stay in the last room of the house, away from the kitchen, away from the front room,” he said.
Police said they are not ruling in or out of any motive, including a possible hate crime.
