The Southeastern Conference fined Arkansas $ 100,000 after Razorbucks fans rushed to the field after defeating Texas 40-21 last Saturday.
Fans violated access to the league’s competition area policy adopted in 2004.
“Access to the competition area shall always be restricted to participating student athletes, coaches, officers, support personnel and properly qualified individuals,” he said.
Arkansas defeated the previous Southwest Conference before a crowd of 74.531, the ninth largest in Arkansas history. This is the first time Razorbucks has won Texas in Fayetteville since 1981.
This victory put Arkansas in the top 25 APs for the first time since 2016. 20th place Razorbacks will host Georgia Southern on Saturday.
This was Arkansas’ second offense and was fined even after winning the LSU in 2014. The first breach is $ 50,000. The fine for the third and subsequent violations jumps to $ 250,000.
