Capcom is touting another Street Fighter project, and the new warlord Luke will be a big part of it. The main thrust of the recent Fall Update video (below) is American Mixed Martial Artist, but the developers couldn’t help but give some glimpse into the future of the series.
“Luke is a key character that will be featured in the next Street Fighter project, so we hope you’ll try it out once it’s released in Street Fighter V,” says producer Shuhei Matsumoto. Series director Takayuki Nakayama, meanwhile, goes a little deeper: “For us, Street Fighter V is a project of peaks and valleys, but thanks to our fans, we’ve been able to accomplish what we set out to do.” We, the development team, will use this experience as a springboard to move on to the next project. “
Matsumoto adds, “As this digital showcase series for Street Fighter V draws to a close, it’s ‘See you soon’ instead of ‘Goodbye'” and the team is looking forward to delivering it to you. You will get more information next year.
For Luke, he is a fair-skinned American boy who specializes in mixed martial arts. As a child, he had a traumatic experience with his father, which led him to the life of a soldier in the army. He will be joining the roster of Street Fighter V on November 29 and you can see a glimpse of his moveset in the following video:
Turning to the future of the Babbage series, Capcom insists that it will continue to support Street Fighter V. Once Luke is released, you will get the balance update in March 2022 and the Capcom Pro Tour 2022 bundle.
