Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film “Pathaan” is on a roll at the box office, collecting massive amounts of money day after day. Fans are flocking to theaters to watch the film multiple times, a testament to its popularity. After making nearly Rs 60 crore on its fifth day of release (Sunday), the film is poised to deliver one of the best first Monday collections of all time.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, “Pathaan” earned Rs 25.5 crore nett on its sixth day in theaters, bringing its total domestic collection to around Rs 296 crore. It’s likely to cross the Rs 300 crore milestone by the end of its seventh day in theaters, faster than any other Hindi release to date. In comparison, it took “Dangal” 13 days to reach Rs 300 crore, while “Baahubali 2” and “KGF 2” took 10 and 11 days, respectively.
The biggest Monday hauls for Hindi-language releases are led by “Baahubali 2,” which earned Rs 40.25 crore on its first Monday, followed by “Tiger Zinda Hai” (Rs 36.54 crore), “Housefull 4” (Rs 34.56 crore), “Krrish” (Rs 33.41 crore), and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” (Rs 27.05 crore). In the post-pandemic era, “KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi)” earned over Rs 25 crore on its first Monday.

The success of “Pathaan” is not limited to India. Fans worldwide are embracing the film, as it has earned $25.40 million (Rs. 207 crore) at the overseas box office. It passed the Rs 500 crore mark globally on Sunday.
Shah Rukh Khan and the team behind “Pathaan” celebrated the film’s success with the media on Monday, including actors Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. During the press meet, Shah Rukh talked about how it feels “terrible” when his films fail and expressed gratitude to the film’s director Siddharth Anand for bringing happiness to himself and his family with “Pathaan.” He said, “This is a big day for us, my family. We haven’t experienced this happiness in a while. Whenever he (Siddharth Anand) wants me to do ‘Pathaan 2,’ I’ll do it.”
The success of “Pathaan” at the box office has also prompted the producers of the Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon-starrer “Shehzada” to push the film’s release date. The movie will now hit theaters on February 17 instead of February 11.
In conclusion, “Pathaan” is a true blockbuster, delivering on both its critical and commercial promise. Fans are loving the film, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. With its success, Shah Rukh Khan has once again proven his enduring popularity and the significance of his contribution to the Indian film industry.
