Sheriff’s deputies surround Joe Mixon’s home after a report of shots fired, but no arrests are made.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of shots fired in Anderson Township and entered the home of Cincinnati Bengals player, Joe Mixon, on Tuesday morning. It is unclear if Mixon was involved in the incident, which left a juvenile with minor injuries. Deputies put up crime scene tape around Mixon’s property and evidence markers were seen in his yard. Although the crime scene tape was eventually removed, no arrests were made. This incident occurred at the same address as a previous warrant for Mixon’s arrest, but the charges were dropped, and the property has not changed ownership.

Early on Tuesday morning, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies entered the home of Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon, after responding to a report of shots fired that left a juvenile injured in Anderson Township hours earlier. It is unclear whether Mixon was involved in the incident. Deputies initially responded to the report of shots fired on Ayers Road at 8:30 p.m. (local time) on Monday, and a juvenile was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, although the cause of the injuries is unknown.

During the evening, deputies put up crime scene tape around a home on Ayers Road, which is worth noting as a neighboring property is listed as Mixon’s home address in a warrant for his arrest earlier this year, although the charges were dropped, and records indicate that the property has not changed ownership.

Evidence markers were seen in Mixon’s yard, and at 11 p.m., deputies extended the crime scene tape to cover his home. They knocked on Mixon’s door at 12:15 a.m. and loudly identified themselves as law enforcement, instructing him to come outside. A car was allowed to enter the driveway at 12:15 a.m., and an officer arrived with an envelope of documents at 1:30 a.m. Several deputies then entered the house with flashlights, and three of them brought note-taking supplies at around 2 a.m. The crime scene tape was removed at 3:20 a.m., and no arrests were made. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
