The Tarrant County Public Health Service opened a new COVID-19 testing site in Hurst on Tuesday.
The new test area is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm and is located on the northeastern campus of Talent County College. The test area is located in the westernmost parking lot along Hardwood Road.
The test is free, but not required, but registration is recommended.
TCPH said it would use the full PCR / NAAT test and use a shallow nasal swab to provide the COVID-19 test to people over the age of 10. In most cases, the results will be available the same night or the afternoon of the next day, but the test is not a quick test.
