Vicky Kaushal is all set to make his mark in the world of cinema once again this year. His third film, “Sam Bahadur,” is scheduled for release in the first week of December. Sources close to Vicky Kaushal have revealed that the trailer for “Sam Bahadur” will be released during the Navratri festival. Currently, the film is in the editing phase, and preparations for the trailer release are underway. Just before Navratri, Vicky will shift his focus to the shooting of his next film, “Chhava.”
The shooting for “Chhava” is slated to commence on the 14th of this month. In this film, Vicky Kaushal will be portraying the role of Sambhaji Raje, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The movie will revolve around the valiant Maratha warriors and is said to depict Sambhaji Raje’s life, who was known for engaging in approximately 210 battles during his time. The initial shooting schedule for the film will take place in Mumbai’s Film City, Dahisar, and the vast grounds of Mad Island.
In preparation for the role, Vicky Kaushal dedicated four months to training, including sword fighting, horseback riding, and special training in Australia. Insiders have shared some intriguing details about the film, mentioning that Saurabh Goswami has been appointed as the cinematographer for “Chhava.”
Reports suggest that Vicky Kaushal has gained around 10 to 12 kilograms of weight for the film to accurately match the physical stature of Sambhaji Maharaj, who had a tall and robust build. Apart from “Chhava,” Vicky Kaushal is also being considered for another film, “Babbar Sher,” written by Dr. Roopinder Singh and Niket Pandey. The film’s executive producer is Arif Sheikh, and it is a joint production by M Plus Studios and Amak Films.

Trade sources also hint at a possible collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. Furthermore, it’s speculated that Nushrat Bharucha may play the female lead opposite Vicky in the film. However, official confirmation regarding these details is still pending.
