India’s Cricket Supervisory Board (BCCI) Treasury Officer Arun Dumar reversed the report of Virat Kohli, who resigned as India’s Limited Overskiper after the T20 World Cup, on Monday, and the board discusses nothing about the issue. No, he captains the team in all forms he said he would continue. “It’s all garbage. Nothing like that will happen. It’s all about media creation,” Arun Dumar told NDTV. “BCCI hasn’t met or discussed anything on this issue,” he said.
Kori was the captain of India at 45 T20 International (T20I) and 95 ODI, leading the team to 27 wins in the shortest format and 65 wins in ODI.
The T20 World Cup begins on October 17th and will be held in the United Arab Emirates and Oman until November 14th. India will launch a campaign with rival Pakistan on October 24th, the first game of Super 12 Group 2 Stage.
India is grouped with Pakistan, New Zealand and Afghanistan. Two more teams will participate from Round 1 through qualifying.
The first semi-final will take place in Abu Dhabi on November 10th, and Dubai will host the second semi-final the next day. Both semis have a reservation date.
The final of the T20 World Cup will take place in Dubai on November 14th and will be held on November 15th as a preliminary day.
India recently announced that it has named the marquee event team and appointed former captain MS Dhoni as the mentor for the tournament team.
