Virat Kohli smashed his 48th ODI ton on Thursday. He is now only one behind his idol Sachin Tendulkar's 49 ODI hundreds.

Virat Kohli got to the landmark with a six against Bangladesh (103* off 97), sealing India's 4th straight victory in the ICC World Cup with the big hit.

King Kohli breaks Sachin's record! 

Kohli is now the fastest to reach 26,000 international runs. He achieved the feat in 567 innings, 34 less than Sachin Tendulkar (601).

4th highest international run-scorer in history 

Kohli (26026) leapfrogs Mahela Jayawardene (25957) to become the 4th highest run-scorer in international cricket, only behind Sachin, Sangakkara, and Ponting.

Kohli leaves Jacques Kallis behind 

VK now has 212 fifty-plus scores in international cricket, going past Jacques Kallis (211). Only Sachin (264), Ponting (217), and Sangakkara (216) are ahead.

Kohli, Rohit 4th and 5th on all-time list 

In terms of most runs at World Cups, both Kohli (1289) and Rohit (1243) went past Brian Lara (1225) and AB de Villiers (1207).

VK loves Pune 

Kohli has now scored 551 runs at Pune, the 2nd highest runs for an Indian at a particular venue. Kohli also leads the list with 587 runs at Vizag.
