Kohli is now the fastest to reach 26,000 international runs. He achieved the feat in 567 innings, 34 less than Sachin Tendulkar (601).

Kohli (26026) leapfrogs Mahela Jayawardene (25957) to become the 4th highest run-scorer in international cricket, only behind Sachin, Sangakkara, and Ponting.

In terms of most runs at World Cups, both Kohli (1289) and Rohit (1243) went past Brian Lara (1225) and AB de Villiers (1207).
