Entering the sixth and final episode of the BBC’s latest thriller, Be vigilantThere was only one question in everyone’s mind: how does Amy (Suranne Jones) escape from the flood missile shoot she was trapped in?
Thankfully, the finale was exactly where the Russian spy AKA sonar operator Doward (Lorne MacFadyen) increased the pressure in the tank and interrupted. Ultimately, it was Prentice (Adam James) who saved her life and stopped the water to prevent her hazmat suit from being washed away. Still, she couldn’t hear her cry for help and she was still trapped.
With communications still down and an enemy submarine approaching HMS Vigil, he fell to Walsh to repair the wire. If he fails, he warns the onboard doctor Docherty (Anjli Mohindra), and Coxwayne and her lover Glover (Shaun Evans) to the nerve agents he and Amy were investigating in episode 5. The exposure definitely died. That’s if Doward didn’t contact him first. Fortunately, his attempt to suffocate Glover was interrupted.
On land, Sergeant Kirsten Longacre (Rose Leslie) pursued Ben Oakley (Kal McCainchi) on his way to the Chinese embassy and arrested him in a plot to kill Jade Antoniac. Anti-nuclear weapons activist Oakley explained that if Trident’s credibility was lost, Russia would be demilitarized and informed Russian agents.
He refused to publish a photo of the same agent as the naval officer, but Kirsten changed his mind when he showed the image, explaining that the operative was trying to break into his laptop anyway. Perhaps it was a big revelation that it was Doward who was meeting the Russian operatives, but we already knew he was a spy.
In the control room, police officer Kierry (Royce Chiminba) reported hearing a bang from inside the boat. It wasn’t just an old bang, it was Morse code – was Amy trying to be rescued? Unfortunately, Doward listened to the water tank and flushed it with a hot foot, causing a detour and causing a potentially fatal leak. It was an obvious obstruction, deducting Commander Newsom (Patterson Joseph) and commanding all major systems to be manned.
Vigil’s audio file under pain (ie flood) created by a land naval officer who immediately determined that a Russian enemy was only 30 minutes behind the boat and could use sound to track the Trident ship. Fortunately, a U.S. submarine is also nearby, and a quick call to the U.S. Navy will flood British allies with Russian radio sonar and make them aware that Vigil wasn’t without protection. I persuaded you.
However, they had to act swiftly, as Lieutenant Hadlow (Connor Swindells) underwater advised Commander Newsam that it only took 10 minutes to drink too much water and rise to the surface.
Just as everything seemed to be lost for Amy, Prentice found her in the torpedo room, woke up and spit her out into the floor. good. She told him that a Russian spy soon appeared and picked up a knife, as Burke was killed to get Doward on the boat and his ears were burning. The tense battle between Doward and Prentice was stabbed many times while Amy announced her discovery to the crew.
While Newsom was launching a “hover,” Walsh managed to get the communications system up and running, revealing to all the crew that Doward was a traitor. They were ordered to “catch him if he could, and kill him if he couldn’t.”
Speaking of Doward, Amy finds himself standing off with him in a polluted area of a submarine, and after a tense game of cats and mice where a detective attacked him with a fire extinguisher, he headlocks her. I asked him to take him to the control room or she would have torn his throat.
At least the cop managed to open the stuck valve and give Vigil a little more time before it was lost to depth forever. Still, it wasn’t enough to stop the submarine from sinking to “crushing depth,” and Doward ordered Newsome to surface the boat and make contact with one of the Russian ships, with the knife in Amy’s throat. rice field.
The boat shook suddenly because he did not respond to the order. When he fell to the floor, he was pinned and shocked by Newsom, Amy arrested Doward for the murder of Prentice.
Vigil was on the way back to Rose, who was asking Oakley, with Doward under control. He explained that Jade came to him with a photo and was convinced that Doward was MI5. His Russian contact had asked him to meet Jade, he said, where he drowned her. After Rose professed his innocence, he told him he would be in jail for a long time.
Meanwhile, at Vigil, Glover woke up in the hospital cabin and Newsome said goodbye to Prentice. Then it was time for Amy, Glover, and Doward (handcuffed) to leave the submarine and return to the Scottish coast. It’s all over.
In the final scene, after Amy and Rose reunited, the pair sat down and observed Doward’s question. He revealed that Burke had been killed as a peace camp man-probably Oakley-approached the Russians and asked him to spy on them. He turned them down and had to kill them in case they opened their mouths.
Amy was fed up with the fact that the entire blunder was a Russian “PR stunt” that made Trident look bad and influenced Congress’s vote on its location in the Scottish waters. It was even more disappointing to hear Dauden answer “no comment” when asked why he worked with the Russians. “He’s a narcissist,” concludes Amy.
After her work was over, Amy took Rose to meet Poppy, the daughter of her boyfriend, who died in an accident a few years ago. They talked about the collapse of their relationship, and their story ended with a reconciliation and a kiss.good
NS Be vigilant At the end, I asked how the pictures of Russian agents and Dauden would be buried. In a press release, the Navy Commander said why the first sunken trawler in the series was accidentally dragged by a Russian submarine and supported Trident as well as an example of a Russian attack on Britain. The public will never hear the truth about what happened on the submarine.
